—— HiPiHi executes on open ecosystem and global strategy with Origami Frontiers strategic partnership
November 30, 2007 (Beijing & Singapore)
.Beijing, China & Singapore - November 30, 2007 – Origami Frontiers, a Virtual World technology provider for community management and mobilization, today announced that a strategic partnership is in place with HiPiHi™, China's pioneer of the 3D virtual world. With Origami Frontiers’ proven and innovative VIRTUAL MOBILE technology as well as network of partners across Asia Pacific, HiPiHi will be able to bring more innovative value-added services to the Virtual World communities in China and Asia.
This partnership confirms HiPiHi's commitment for an open ecosystem and platform that was announced as part of HiPiHi's 3-part global strategy in August 2007 in Singapore. With Origami Frontiers’ headquarters based in Singapore and Shanghai, this partnership is a continuation of HiPiHi's global expansion after Japan with NGI Group - HiPiHi will now implement its global strategy by establishing Singapore as an international hub with an initial focus on Asia.
"We have the technology that seamlessly integrates the Virtual and Mobile World and are designed to offer unique services suitable for the Asian audience." said James Ong, CEO and Founder of Origami Frontiers. "HiPiHi, being China's pioneer in the 3D Virtual World, offers the ideal position to make those services available for hundreds if not millions of users both in China and Asia. We foresee significant demands for those services in the next 12 to 24 months."
HiPiHi is expected to be commercially available by early 2008 and is currently in beta release. Upon its commercial launch, it is poised to capture a large community of Virtual World residents. Virtual Worlds in various shapes and forms are attracting major attention in terms of user adoptions in China and across Asia. Many such as Singapore, which is at the forefront in pushing development of Interative Digital Media (IDM), are actively studying the impact of virtual economies and how to leverage this new medium to offer more services - HiPiHi will offer a very promising platform for advertisers or value-added providers to serve these communities who are affluent consumers in China and Asia.
"As we expect the population and communities within HiPiHi to grow after our commercial launch, our residents and communities will benefit from all the innovative value-added services offered by Origami Frontiers integrated on HiPiHi platform." said Xu Hui, CEO and Founder of HiPiHi. "As part of our global strategy, we also want to make our services available to the global audience. Origami Frontiers, being familiar with both the Chinese and the International cultures, will be able to help us build the international communities in HiPiHi with Singapore as an international hub."
